Well, I must say that I was very impressed with this very sharp peeler. At first glance I thought that it wasn't as "chunky" as my current peeler, but that actually is a plus. My grip fits much better and seems to be more comfortable. The entire underside has an area that gives you a non-slip gripping surface. Easy to clean. The handle is not round, but more like an oblong shape that fits nicely with more control. What surprised me the most was how sharp the peeler was and that it did not "collect" peels on the blades. I think it's because of the design of the blade holder. Most other peelers have a semi-circle design, but I noticed a wider plateau shape above the blades....giving peels a wider escape route and hence no need to stop and shake the peel clog. It does have a deep blemish remover and also a large oblong hole if you wanted to hang it up for some odd reason. All in all I would highly recommend Ms peeler and hope she is very durable...only time will tell.

We eat a lot of fruits and veggies in my house so I need a decent peeler. I've been using the Mainstays peeler nearly every day (mostly for cucumbers) and it hasn't dulled at all. It's still as sharp as new. I had some brand name peeler that was nearly 6 bucks and it was garbage compared to this Mainstays peeler. There's nothing fancy about it but it's comfortable in my hand and it does the job. I will be buying another for a back up should I need it.
