Before installing this unit make sure you consider anything sticking out past the face frame of the cabinet. We have a wine cooler next to our corner cabinet and the door handle sticks out 2 1/2" from the face frame of the cabinet. After fully installing the unit per the directions we discovered the 1st rack shelves hit the door handle and could not function. We had to readjust the cabinet mounting location further forward to accommodate for the door handle. I suggest only using two screws initially to fasten the frame to the bottom of the cabinet then proceed with the build and install the remaining screws once you confirm the unit can function correctly. The shelves can be easily removed to gain access to the mounting holes.
What we like about this unit:
You no longer have to get down on your knees to get something out of the cabinet. Strong and glides smoothly.
Solid wood shelf bottoms keep little things from falling through and provides a even surface so items don't wobble.
Wire shelf sides keep items like plastic lids from falling off the shelves.
Maintains organization within the cabinet. Before installing this unit everything was put in helter-skelter and would sometimes fall out onto the floor when the door was opened. In order to function, this unit teaches you to keep items organized.
What we don't like about the unit:
Cost - Sticker shock to say the least.
Less items can be put back into the cabinet after the unit is installed.
You may have to find a new location for your stand mixer or other large items.
Ask yourself if you really need 25 mixing bowls, 65 plastic storage containers, 30 baking pans, that old set of pots and pans, and all the other stuff you have been collecting over the years. Sell, donate, giveaway, or throwaway what you have not used in over a year. You will not miss it.
As you can see from the photos we need to get rid of more stuff but it all fits and doesn't fall out. If we only had to deal with 7 items like in the add photos we would not have purchased this item.
Item quirks:
The pull handles are not as visible as we would like. People have a tendency to pull on the top shelves rather than the pull handles to pull the racks out or push them in. This sometimes misaligns the shelves on the rack.
The soft close feature seams to take us more time to close the door so we just push the rack in bypassing the soft close.
The top shelves slide backwards rather than forwards. It makes it nice when you have the rack out and want to get something off the bottom shelf but you must pull the entire rack out if you want to reach something on the top shelf.
So far all of our friends and family are very impressed with the unit.
Highly recommend this item if you need to organize a lot of stuff.
