SOUR PATCH KIDS Soft & Chewy Gummy Candy, Share Size, 12 oz

I grabbed this share size bag of Sour Patch Kids because I was hosting a movie night and wanted something that wasn't chocolate. The 12 oz bag looked generous enough for four people, but I'll be honest—I ended up hiding the bag halfway through the movie so I didn't have to keep passing it around. The texture is exactly what you expect. Soft, chewy, with that slightly firm bite before it gives in. The sour sugar coating is uneven from piece to piece, which I actually like. Some are face-scrunching sour, others are more sweet upfront. It keeps things interesting. The red and blue ones are my favorite—the red has a solid raspberry punch and the blue is that classic sweet-tart mystery flavor. The yellow and orange are fine, just a little milder. One thing I noticed is that these do get stuck in your teeth. Badly. I was fishing pieces out with my tongue for ten minutes after the bag was gone. Also, if you leave the bag open overnight, the candy gets slightly hard and the sour coating loses its kick. I learned that the hard way. For a share size bag, it's really more like a “two people who like each other” size or a “one person who had a rough day” size. I'm hoping the candy stays fresh through the rest of the week because I definitely didn't finish it in one sitting. Great for parties, better for personal movie nights. Share size?
