Snoop Dogg - No Limit Top Dogg - Music & Performance - Vinyl

This album was a turning point in Snoop's catalog. After two albums with Death Row, he moved down south to join No Limit Records. His first no limit album was good, but the production was noticeably different from his earlier releases. Instead of the g-funk that Death Row albums were known for, the majority of the production was done by Beats by the Pound, which is a totally different sound for Snoop. This album is largely a return to his roots. While there are a few songs produced by Beats by the Pound, the majority of this album is produced by Dr. Dre, Dj Quik, and other West Coast producers. The result is that this album sounds much more like the laid back Snoop that fans originally grooved on to. Some of the best tracks in my opinion are Just Dippin and B Please, both produced by Dr. Dre and Ride with a DPG and Don't Tell, produced by DJ Quik. For me this was a breath of fresh air after Snoops first No Limit album, and a smooth segwey into his next. A must buy for Snoop fans, especially at a sale price.
