The weed eater is a great little tool. It dies what is meant to do obviously it's more for up keep than did a full over grown lawn. On one battery I was able to trim back my neighbor's overgrown bushes protruding onto our side and mow the soft weeds from the lawn, that was about a 2 hour job before I switch to the other battery UNFORTUNATELY towards the end the little weed eater got burnt out... literally. It suddenly just stopped and smoke came from the motor. I was very disappointed because it is a good little tool to have. Fortunately I did purchase the insurance so I'll be making a claim. Maybe I got a faulty unit but over all it's a good tool.

I was really excited to finally have a cordless weed trimmer but the excitement turned quickly into disappointment starting with assembly. Without any assembly instructions, putting the unit together became an excruciating guessing game. After much head-scratching, I was able assemble the trimmer and with two fully-charged batteries, I started edging and cutting weeds. I immediately noticed the unit to be underpowered and it was somewhat difficult to cut grass with a such a small cutting diameter. The unit struggled at cutting thin grass and one of the plastic blades broke immediately upon first use. What should've been an easy task of trimming grass took longer than usual. The unit also felt more like a toy instead of a tool. I have since purchased another cordless trimmer of equal price that works as I expect it to work. Maybe I'll find another use for this unit in the future. Based on my experience with this one, I recommend looking elsewhere for a better-quality and reasonably priced weed wacker.
