FIOGOHUMI 10000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner for 350 Square Feet with Remote Control

Great seller. Good price. Rapid shipping and good packaging from the factory. It arrived in good condition. I am using this portable AC unit out in a 3 season sunroom that gets very hot in the summer. It absolutely works. But for a 7k BTU unit, I would have expected a bit more cooling, but it does cool the room (15 x 20 feet). It just cools slowly, and the room does not as cool as I would like during the heat of the afternoon. Setup was straight forward. I had to hacksaw off a piece of the extender end of the window panel adapter to make it shorter, so that it would fit my window. There is plenty of hot air exhuast duct included. Unfortunately, the included hose for draining water from the unit is very short. It's really only long enough to empty the unit into a bucket or a very close drain on occasion, and not long enough to run the hose outside or to a nearby drain for continual draining. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to get a longer drain hose for continual draining. I drilled a hole through the wall to the outside behind the unit. I'm in a 3 season sun room with rustic wooden panel walls below the windows, so drilling a small drain hole was not a problem. Pay attention to which of the drain holes is designed for continual draining. There are two drain holes on the unit. The drain hole at the base of the unit is for occasional draining, while the drain hole up toward the hot air exhuast is for continual draining. This may seem counter intuitive to some, but that's the way it's set up. There is probably a small reservoir in the top of the unit that overflows when full and drains into the bottom reservoir that is much larger. If you open this top drain, water does not have an opportunity to drain into the bottom as it just flows out of the unit immediately. The remote control is handy, but does not work from a distance when you are below the top of the unit, no matter how many times you try to get it to work. I have to get up out of the recliner to get the remote above the top plain of the unit for the remote to work. At least I don't have to walk over to the unit itself. There are three fan settings. High, Low and Sleep. The high setting indeed puts out plenty of cubic feet per minute airflow. The lower setting cuts that by about 40 percent. The sleep setting cuts the fan again by about another 20 percent. Because I don't sleep in my sunroom, I think the sleep setting is quiet. You may not in a bedroom, unless you are a fan of white noise. All air conditioners make some kind of noise while cooling. I have to say I hear the fan, but I do not hear any compressor noise like my old window unit had. All in all, I'm very satisfied. Would I like the output to be cooler? Sure. Would I like the drain hose to have been longer? Sure. Would I like the window adapter unit to fit without cutting? Sure. But for the price, the super fast shipping by the seller, and the good factory packaging, would I buy another unit from him? SURE!
