Can be used in standard and High efficiency machines. The retail price with the uses and amount is affordable because it's an additive to your detergent. So you will save with your detergent too. The smell is nice but not super strong. The product is 2x concentrate so it's a viscous clear gel. I used in our work uniforms, my bf is canine handler so after work his uniforms are super dirty and with strong dog smell. This booster removed all the smell and dirt from the uniforms without affecting the dark color of the uniforms. Very recommended.
