Ana Caban's Core Challenge is an excellent and challenging alternative to a standard Pilates mat workout. Ana has taken exercises traditionally done on the Pilates Reformer machine and adapted them to the mat. The moves are new and challenging, but not too hard to learn if you are already familiar with Pilates. The routine is a true challenge. That being said, I would recommend this DVD to an intermediate to advanced Pilates student. The DVD includes a full-length routine that is roughly 40 minutes, and a quicker routine that is about 20 minutes. I do this DVD every other day, alternating with Ana's Maintenance Pilates for Weight Loss. The results have been truly amazing, and I am going to turn 40 next month! Ana Caban has the best DVDs out there by far!

Ana Caban makes great videos- I also have her Intermediate workout and Abs workout. Hers are the only videos that compare to an actual class when I can't make it. This video is great because she adapts reformer exercises to the mat. Not only will they challenge your core, but they involve coordination as well. I love the beyond basics exercises and the choice to do a full 40 min or quick 20 min workout. I plan on taking this with me when I go on vacation in Jamaica so I can get a quick workout in without spending hours in the gym! I would definitely recommend this video, especially if you already have some pilates background. I eagerly await Ana's next Intermediate to Advanced level workout!

I love this video. I'm somewhat new to pilates but have been exercising for years. I use to teach aerobics and strength training. I must say i've done a lot of sit-ups in my day but none has been as effective, in such a short time, than ana's video. I am in search of another video by her....just think i accidentally bought this video because it was on sale...everything happens for a reason....she has a fan forever!

I have been doing Pilates for 6 years, and was very disappointed with this video. The moves were cheesy and ineffective. I was very bored and despite my advanced Pilates form, I did not feel it was a worthwhile exercise at all. Oh, and it was a lot shorter of a workout than the box let on. Plus the background music was annoying. This was by far the worst Ana Caban DVD I have ever tried, and I have tried many!

Ana is great, I have a few of her DVDs and she is easy to follow. I love taking this DVD on vacation, after a plane ride good movement and stretching is a must!  I love hour long work-outs, they just make me feel better. My chiropractor recommended Pilates to me several years ago and this was the first DVD I bought. It's really help build core strength that my weight training just couldn't do.
