Slot drain

I works well and went together easily. You have to watch out because it comes out being higher than you think it would off the floor.

Works great

Everything works great. Remember to lift the drain cover every three months to clean the basket.

Water doesn't drain all that well through this...drain

Installed this in my new shower stall which is in my new bathroom. All new construction built to the latest codes. Looks amazing, deffinitely well made too. No complaint there. However, I'm not sure if its the fault of the contractor or the design of the drain or I just shed too much hair...but water frequently backs up in the shower because it doesnt want to go down the drain. Sometimes it fixes itself and I'm pleasantly surprised to see the water level drop really fast after a while... other times I have to pull out the inset and clean the tray and drain filter to get it to work properly. My contrctor lost the "key" that you need to pull the drain insert out so I made one out of a wire coat hanger. That works ok but its an annoyance as the drain inset with the tile in it is a bit heavy. If I were to do it again I would just get a simple regular style drain. As it is I will probably get a different drain grate to see if that solves the problem.

Thank you for your feedback. Typically when there is an issue with these drains draining, it has to do with installation. If the tile wasn't installed correctly with the correct slope, or the plumbing wasn't installed the correct way, the water can get backed up and not drain. Sometimes if the drain clogs, that can also cause these drains to not drain properly.
