This rug is super soft! I have two girls that have very heavy feet when they walk, and we live in the upper unit of a duplex . This rug helps reduce the sound of their footsteps when they play. Obviously, it’s not big enough to cover the whole room, but it’s bigger than what I had anticipated for their play area (I folded ours almost halfway in the photo). The rug is more on the thin side but that is why it’s a washable rug. Any thicker than what it is, you probably won’t be able to throw it in the washer. I would recommend a bottom padding if you like additional cushion.

I like how simple it is and the shade of gray. If you plan on using it in the living room, I’d recommend a rug pad to prevent it from moving. Overall, given how affordable this rug is, I’d highly recommend it!

This rug is very soft! It's almost like a fake fur type of feeling. It has a rubber non slip backing which is better than most rugs I have for my wood floor. You don't need an additional rug mat to protect the floor or keep it from sliding around. It comes folded up so has some initial creases. I threw it in the wash and it took care of that.
