The entire thing, hive bodies and frames, fit together perfectly! Much better than the stuff I buy locally that says Amish built. Actual dove tail joints. Foundations are unwaxed and wood is not painted. This is how I prefer so I can wax and paint myself. Price was outstanding!!! Painted this one pink and green.
