Rouge Dior Lip Balms: the most amazing formulation

This is my favourite lip product, apart from the Dior Addict lip gloss. It's so underrated though, even it sells out quickly, I don't hear anyone giving it the recognition it deserves. It's such a clever formulation. The Matt version hydrates my lips and has the best longevity, as usually I hate Matt formulations. And the satin version dries down eventually to have a similar staying power. I bought all colours, and I never do this. The colours are unusual and universally flattering, as they are neutral, even some are more vibrant than others. Extremely clever Dior! Hydration, different finishes and beautiful colours all in one well thought out formulation.

Modern comfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Given this is a classic, it's sometimes difficult to be innovative with texture, feel, formula, etc. I also own the classic 999 color as a satin version as I was usually too sceptical about matte textures. However, this was not the case with this lipstick - the texture is just right, not sticky and not dry (despite it being matte finish) and my lips felt softer after wearing it. The color was was bright enough to wear during the day without being extravagant - I imagine post-quarantine this will also be an indispensable color for work and work events!
