We went a few years without a dog then got our latest, Atticus. He's a miniature schnauzer like the rest of our fur babies have been (besides one Cairn Terrier). Like our other schnauzers, he mats under his chin, in his beard, legs, and skirt. This comb works as good as any I've had and Atticus is okay with it too (he's not really a fan of combs or clippers). It's important to angle it correctly and then use almost a curling motion to comfortably work out tangles, but with care, even a lot of tangles can be worked out without a lot of discomfort the fur baby. I can't say that's specifically better than other ones I have had but it is certainly as good as any I've had before.
