Lucid 4" Cooling Gel with Aloe Plush Memory Foam Mattress Topper, King

this review is for the LUCID PLUS GEL INFUSED MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS TOPPER, twin size, 3" inches thick. the 3" inches thickness will be what the maximum size will be after the memory foam relaxes after a few days of the compacted, double folded, plastic wrapped package, is released. since the topper is folded, there will be large ridges down the center, but it takes time for the foam to lay itself flat. you can help it along by sitting or laying down on the opened topper. it will also, at first, not seem wide enough to fit the standard twin mattress, but waiting time is needed for it to fully relax. the only size that concerns me is the length. it lacks a few inches. but hoping that over time, this foam might also grow in that direction as well, from top to bottom, but im unsure if that will occur. i didnt receive any paperwork from the company on this product so i dont know all the details about this toppers placement on your mattress or what type of care or maintenance that needs to be done. there is no gel that can be seen, so the infusion of gel is slight and combined into the foam. this topper does not get cold as any gel might do. the infusion, however, does help to hold the memory foam in place longer when its compressed. there are several thin holes the thickness of a pencil, made into the foam for it to breathe. the topper is all one material so that you can flip this pad on either side. even though 3" inches doesnt seem like much, this LUCID PLUS GEL INFUSED MEMORY FOAM TOPPER, is totally comfortable. i placed this topper on a plain regular standard twin mattress that contains springs and cant be turned over. previously i had been having hip pain from pressure from the springs, but once i added this mattress TOPPER, my sleep was painless and all my bones were able to relax. i am now having a great sleep. the only con is having to purchase deeper sheets to cover both the twin mattress and the extra 3" inch topper. or, you may be able to find a perfect separate covering just for this mattress topper by itself. any way you do it, youll still get a good nights rest.

I'm very pleased I ordered the 2" topper. It's made sleeping with my bad right hip more comfortable. I'm able to sleep more soundly and wake up less during the night. I'll eventually have to get hip replacement surgery so the pain can be pretty intense. I already bought a 12" Lucid medium density mattress that, although comfortable, was still too hard for me to get a good nights sleep.
