Criminal: a must have by Brubaker and Phillips

I would highly recommend the entire collection. there are currently 3 deluxe edition volumes. the stories and characters intertwine similar to Sin City. arguably superior. The pages are dark and gritty, really capturing the crime nior environment. I enjoy the larger edition hardcovers and this one is well made, with beautiful and bleak art. the characters are well written hate-to-love types that you can't help but be drawn to. When Brubaker and Phillips team up it's a must have especially if you are a collector.
