Great fun. Appropriate for many years of play!

I have been buying Calico Critters for years. My children and I loved them. Now I buy them for young children I care for. They are adorable and well made. The imaginary play seems joyful for all children when done with an adult. My kids were very math and puzzle oriented. These critters along with a house and some accessories were avenues for story telling, silliness, caregiving and creativity. Things around your home, other toys, can be used to build to the critter world. At Christmas, we decorate the house with holiday items, bells etc. We use Smarties and Hershey kisses as "food." My now 22 yr old daughter plays with the children of our lives, enjoying the experience again. The box was a little bumped up upon arrival.
