Worth the Price

Picked it up and took it home and started putting it together in the garage. The hardest part of assembly was figuring out the legs. Once we got that started it was a breeze. Instructions say one person can assemble. Get some help if you can, makes it so much easier. After assembly we went through the instructions and got it ready for our first meal. A trip to the Organic Butcher Shop for some premium baby back ribs, hopper loaded with applewood pellets and were smoking. Five hours at 225 using the 2-2-1 method and we had perfect ribs glazed with sweet and spicy barbecue sauce and eight perfect smoked hot dogs for the kids. We have a big smoker capable of cooking a whole hog but with just the wife and I we wanted something smaller. The Pit Boss Lexington Onyx fits the bill, small enough to cook small wianities yet big enough to load up for larger gatherings(we still have the other smoker for parties and such. I'm sure there's more expensive smokers with more bells and whistles but after smoking for 50 years what it really boils down to is proper heat, good quality meat and smoke. The Pit Boss Lexington does it all without breaking the bank. I would definitely recommend this product and would buy it again.

We love this grill. My husband puts it on with nothing on the grill just to see the smoke and enjoy the smell. However the craftsmanship has gone down some . My husband how to adjust some things on it. All in all we use it all the time. The features are very good don't forget to use them.
