It's oversized a bit. Can be used as a top layer jacket for cold weather and paired with a hoodie/sweater when it's chilly or colder. I ordered a size ten for my son and was happy that it had more room to grow into. He's a size ten, but he's only 5 years old and kinda tall for his age can wear slightly bigger clothes. The jacket is water resistant and holds up pretty well. It's stylish and be mixed and matched with some nice outfits and for many occasions. I love the camouflage print and neon orange accents. For the clearance price it is a great but. I would suggest not wearing alone when it's freezing cold, but still has that inner lining that warm and cozy days as long as the child isn't expected to be out in the weather for long hours at a time.
