Versatile and Cost Effective

I have a good sized deck with no roof, and it always bothers me that the kids can't play on the deck when it gets too sunny/hot in summer or when it rains. We thought about building a roof, but it would cost a lot and it would block our view. Eventually we decided to buy an awning, and we were happy to have found this retractable one. This solved our problems perfectly, and it costs almost nothing compared to adding a new roof over the deck. It's very versatile yet sturdy. We highly recommend anyone who wants shade over the deck or other open areas.

Unstable Awning.

The construction seems to be very weak and already had some damage to the frame. Instructions was vague and measurement were off. But once I got the assembly together and replaced the broken brackets, finally got it mounted to the house over the deck. I also bought awning stabilizer poles to secure my peace of mind that this awning will not collapse. It is not trustworthy. Not the best buy but it will do. Next time I'm going to spend extra money to have a better, sturdier awning professionally installed. We will see have long this lasts?!?

We are waiting on the seller to get back to us regarding the awning material that has a defect in it. The defect seems to be a coating problem. You can see through a small part of the awning and the light comes through. The remainder of the awning looks good. I asked the seller if we need to return or if they will just send us an awning/material portion replacement. The mechanical parts seem to be working well.
