Pre-read before giving to children

Overall the concept of this book is a cute idea, but it has several things that are disappointing. First, there are no dresses on the 1920s page, just swimsuits! (There is one meh 1920s flapper dress for the paper dolls, with a brief explanation). This was the main decade I was interested in. Second, the book claims that Coco Chanel invented the little black dress, and from a brief bit of research, I don't think that's actually true. Third, the section about the present day includes a picture that some familes may find inappropriate. A person in this picture has beard stubble and hairy legs. The accompanying text explains what it means when people wear rainbow clothing nowadays. Fourth, the dolls have strange faces, but I already knew that from the pictures online. If your child doesn't like them, you can just use the clothes and make some new dolls.
