Aus Music follows up Huxley's Give 2 U (AUS 1469EP) and Gerry Read's 3, 2, 1 (AUS 1471EP) with it's 72nd release and the first contribution to the label from Toronto-born, Leeds-based producer Bwana. Flute Dreams is an iridescent record that sits comfortably in big spaces. The title track crescendos behind a thrumming kick and chirping melodies as it gathers luminous tones and textures throughout. Simian Mobile Disco's tense and capacious remix drives clipped acid patterns under hustling drums. "Fizzle" unfolds behind shimmering synth patterns and stout toms before "Aomame" lays a saturated thud under more flaring synths.
