Exactly as pictured! How often does that actually happen? I love my rugs! It's soft and laid flat easily after rolling it the opposite way. The rug is also NOT stiff like cheap rugs. I layered this rug on top of a larger jute rug so I didn't need a pad underneath it. I would recommend using a nice pad underneath if you're only using the one rug to give it a little more comfort on your feet on wood or tile floors. Very happy with my purchase!

It's just what a I wanted - very pretty and very soft. Doesn't need a pad underneath as far as I'm concerned. It comes folded, but I put it in the dryer for 5 minutes on a steam setting then hung it on the line outside until it was dry and it lay perfectly flat on the floor
