Key item features

Double vinyl LP pressing housed in a foiled stamped gatefold sleeve. This remixed and expanded reissue of Soundgarden's Ultramega OK is a long-planned "correction" of the legendary band's Grammyr-nominated debut full-length. The album was originally recorded and released in 1988 on SST Records. While the band enjoyed working with the original producer, Drew Canulette, they soon realized they weren't quite happy with the final mix. Thus, shortly after the album's release, the band decided to remix the album for subsequent pressings. However, success intervened: the band rapidly scored a deal with A&M and began work on their major-label debut, Louder Than Love, and the Ultramega OK remix project fell by the wayside as Soundgarden climbed their way to (ultra)mega-stardom.

Second disc is 45rpm

Just to counter the other review, there is nothing wrong with the second disc. The first disc plays at 33 1/3rpm and the second runs at 45rpm. It's going to sound off if you play it at 33 1/3.

Great Album, Off-Center Pressing x 2

Off-Center pressing on sides 3 and 4. I returned the first copy and re-ordered. Second copy just arrived and same issue. Beware, I suspect the whole batch of this particular pressing is off-centered. If you've never experienced that, it means that the hole where you place the record is not centered properly. Because of that, your music will sound like its under water with a demon singing. Also not good for your stylus. There really is no way to fix it so a return is your best option. Hope they recall this batch and get a new pressing out there - would love to have this album on vinyl.
