Throughly Enjoyed

I'm late to the ball, as I just read book four in this series as a stand alone and it worked well for me. I throughly enjoyed Griffiths's story and how it enfolds. Well written and holds your attention throughout. I love the original storyline and how Isabella gets sucked into living a lie to save her family from ruin. It spoke to me that God loves us even when we make wrong choices and He can turn bad into good when we come to the end of ourselves and seek Him. Believable characters that show love doesn't see social rank. I look forward to going back and reading the other books in this series. I received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.

Made me laugh

I was dying to read this book. If you have read any books by Kristi Ann Hunter, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. There are few authors who can make me laugh out loud, and she is one of them. An Inconvenient Beauty takes place in England in the Regency Era. It is the fourth book in the Hawthorne House series. I have read all four books and can honestly say you need to as well. I was swept away to another place and time and loved every minute of it. This story follows Griffith as he tries to figure out who he should fall in love with. Being the Duke of Riverton is no easy task. Griffith was thrown into it at an early age, and is so used to being in control he doesn't know how to relax. Looking at everything from a logical standpoint can be a good thing, but does it work that way with love? Griffith has taken all he can think of into consideration when deciding who should be his wife. His family is known to marry for love, and he doesn't want to break that tradition. But he also knows that logic has always pointed him in the right direction before. Why would it be wrong this time? Following Griffiths logic was such a fun ride. After meeting him in the first Hawthorne House book I couldn't wait to see who captured the elusive Duke. I loved his protectiveness of his family and was excited to see who he would finally fall in love with. I enjoyed the ridiculous situations the characters sometimes found themselves in, and could relate to some of their troubles. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading. Hunter is my favorite author in the Regency Era category and I can not wait to read more from her. I received a copy of this book from the publisher and was in no way forced to post a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Perfection!!!

The fourth, and final, book in the Hawthorne House series does not disappoint! I was captivated from the first word to the last. Griffith, the Duke of Riverton, is a man of order, logic, and decisiveness. Now that all of his siblings are happily married, he decides it's time for him to seek a wife...and the hilarity ensues! I LOVE the way Kristi Ann Hunter writes!!!! Her stories are well-constructed, full of description, and her characters are human-just like us. Griffith uses logic and makes a plan to marry and we know what happens when we make a plan and leave God out of the equation! I couldn't put this book down, and i know I will read it again. I would suggest starting with the novella, "A Lady of Esteem" It's free to read and the perfect beginning to this series. And you will become so enthralled with the characters, you will have to get all of the books!!! I've read each book more than five times. I enjoy the series THAT much--and I know you will too. Everyone else has written lengthy reviews of this book so I won't go into detail, but get the series and put it on your keeper shelf. I know that I will be reading these books over and over and over and i will discover something new I love every time. Bethany House gave me a copy of this book for my honest review, and I have done so. I would have purchased this book, and as a matter of fact, will buy it to share.
