Sturdy and simple
4x AA batteries included, mine worked fine. I like that it used AA, not AAA or C or D. Very bright, don't look straight into the beam! Focus is adequate for a $12 flashlight. Good weight in my hand, nice grip. Had no trouble rotating the end to focus or defocus the beam. On-off push button on the end clicks firmly. Very pleased with my purchase. Did not try the waterproof claim but fit-and-finish of the case all looked very good. I would not be worried about carrying it into the rain.
