Better than I expected
We were looking for a this style brush like we have for our Shark NV501. I bought a different style from shark for our new AZ4000 because the illustration used here is not the brush angle we were looking for. We weren't happy with the first brush that was supposed to be a good match, so I took a chance on this one even with the vertical bristles. Turns out this actual brush has the angled soft bristles like the one we have for the other unit, not vertical clumps like in the photo. This photo or Illustration needs to be replaced with one that represents the attachment accurately.
Actual item differs from photo
The attachment I received is different from the picture. The item I received has very angled bristles with a velvet pad that is suctioned down to the surface. The bristles are very soft. It sometimes runs over grit and then drags the grit across the surface. It is only useful in limited situations, whereas it looks like in the photo the bristles would keep the pad from being completely suctioned to the surface,

Not a pictured
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The attachment I received is not like the picture. The brush I got has the bristles coming out at an angle. The bristles are very soft and when I use it, the velvet pad is sucked to the cleaning surface. If there are any tiny grains of salt/sand or anything scratchy, it is dragged along the surface . I would think the straight bristles (pictured) would keep the head up just a bit more, allowing just the bristles to ride the surface. That is what I wanted. I'll keep it, but really need to find the one that is pictured.
