Set of 2 Baxton Studio Nexus Mid-Century Modern Walnut Wood Finishing and Gravel Fabric Upholstered Arm Chairs

We bought 1 pair of these chairs, plus 3 pairs of the side dining chairs. Despite the legs being mango wood, the finish matches nicely with our real walnut dining table. There's a lot of boxes and packing material, so there were zero defects or markings. I found them to be well constructed for the cheap price - they are significantly sturdier than other dining chairs at this price point. Overall, I'd rate them as a good value. There's a factory smell that comes with the chairs, but that dissipates after 24-36 hours. You need to assemble their chairs to the wood base. The instructions show using a screwdriver, but I'd recommend a good drill. They come with sturdy wood screws to attach the two pieces. We've been using these chair for about two months and we have no issues with them thus far. They remain sturdy, no wobbles. The fabric is pretty easy to clean if you spill food on them - they appear to be treated with some sort of fabric protector and there's been no major stains. We will still apply scotchguard once per year. I will say, however, that the armrests make these end chair quite narrow. My wife and I are both slender-framed people, but a person with large hips may have difficulty sitting comfortably in these chairs. The side chair may be a better fit.
