Six new cooking class students.  New friendships form, a romance blossoms, and hearts receive healing nourishment. Will Heidi’s own hurting heart also be healed?

Despite stressful changes occurring in their lives, Lyle and Heidi once again open their Ohio home up to those seeking to learn about Amish cooking. This time a teenager helping her divorced dad cook for the family, a caterer needing new recipes, a food critic, a hunter looking to impress his buddies, a wife given the class as an unwanted gift, and a mailman lured in by the aroma of good cooking gather around Heidi’s table.

During each class, Heidi teaches culinary skills, but it is her words of wisdom that have a profound effect on her students—though, this time Heidi’s own hurting heart will need some healing nourishment.

This is the second book in The Amish Cooking Class series.

Great Amish Fiction!

Do you like reading about the Amish lifestyle? Do you enjoy clean, wholesome fiction? Are you looking for an entertaining story? I recommend that you read The Blessing because you will not be disappointed! The Blessing is book 2 of Amish Cooking Class and Wanda E. Brunstetter has once again weaved a story that both inspires and entertains. She has the ability to create characters and situations that mirror real life and her references to God and faith are never pushy or overpowering. I enjoyed catching up with some of the characters from the first class featured in The Seekers and I look forward to learning how their stories, and those of the current class, continue in book three, The Celebration. I especially want to see if Heidi and her husband Levi will ever experience the joy of caring for children. The recipes at the end and the Bible Scriptures scattered throughout are just added bonuses that make this book even more appealing. I received a complimentary copy of The Blessing from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review.

Another Wonderful Story by Wanda Brunstetter

The Blessing by Wanda E. Brunstetter is the second book in the Amish Cooking Class Series. It is a wonderful story to read! Heidi and Lyle Troyer's story continues in this book. Heidi has a new set of students enrolled in her cooking class. Each student has their own set of problems. Heidi gives encouragement to each of her students. This story is a wonderful read that holds your attention from the first chapter to the last page. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until I finished reading the whole story!!

Blessed to Read

This is book two in the Amish Cooking Class series and it is like putting on your favorite bath robe to revisit characters from The Seekers. Heidi is teaching a new class of six unique people from diverse backgrounds, each with different difficulties they are dealing with. Heidi's scripture verses that she shares on the back of her recipe cards will affect each character. Nicole is my favorite character from the new class and the burdens she carries from choices her mother makes are heart wrenching. The book is a perfect example of the scripture Heidi shares, " The things which are impossible with man are possible with God". Watching each of them grow and change makes for an enjoyable read. I liked catching up with new developments in Kendra's life and look forward to where it leads. I'm looking forward to book three as Heidi takes on a new challenge. I received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
