End-grain chopping boards are made from the short pieces of lumber—in our case, durable, authentic Brazilian teak wood— that are grafted together vertically with the end pieces making up the surface. Excellent Quality!
We purchased a second one for a gift after enjoying ours for many years. It is sturdy, beautiful yet lightweight enough that it's not a chore to pull out like our other endgrain cutting board. The trough is super handy. After chopping on it for years it's still as smooth and beautiful as when we first got it. I highly recommend end grain boards over bamboo.
