Still a classic…

Since these are unisex and in women's, I'm normally a 6.5-7, I just ordered my usual men's 5/women's 6.5. I have owned multiple pairs of the older style of this shoe in both black and white with the blue herringbone bottoms. These feel a bit more cushioned, a touch thicker and taller around the toe area. Even though I purchased Medium width, they also felt a touch wider. I was worried maybe these were too large but once I put socks on, it was a comfortable fit. Only complaint is the laces (50”) still feel a little long to me so I'll be changing those out. Thought I might dislike the updated version of this shoe but I don't!

Looked good then; look good now.

Been wearing Jack Purcell Autograph Tennis shoes since the 70s. I think they may be like my tenth or eleventh pair -- they wear so well. I have two pair that are a little worn, but they're almost like wearing socks. Just bought a new pair to have a "fresh pair" on hand. Oh, by the way, back there somewhere, I saw a picture of James Dean wearing a pair with some tan chinos and thought is was a good look. Oh, I'll turn 82 next week. Thanks.
