NutriChomps Dog Chews, 6-inch Braids (Pack of 5)

I volunteer at the Pennsylvania SPCA. We have some heavy chewers there so I wasn't sure how long these raw hide alternative chews would last. I tried with out with Iris. Iris is a 7 year old pittie mix. Iris's favorite activity is loafing on her blankets so when the kennel attendants need her to leave her kennel so they do “room service” (clean her kennel for the day and give her fresh blankets), Iris needed so extra coaxing. These treats did just the trick. I able to lure her into one of the runs with the promise of the peanut butter braided treat. I don't think Iris had seen anything like it before because she didn't realize it was something she could eat. We started off playing fetch with it. I guess it softened a bit being in her mouth from her bring it back and forth to me and Iris got the hang of she could chew on it. But we spent a good twenty minutes playing with it before Iris got down to business chewing. By the time she was ready to go back inside, there was still plenty of knot for Iris to chew on. By Iris making it into a game first, we got plenty of mileage on this treat. She's a smart girl. Could she be your smart girl? Also, I gave these the extras for a couple other dogs at the shelter and I thought they would make short work of these. They didn't last forever but they did give them a focused distraction during a heavy thunder storm for an hour or so.
