Great surprise!

I didn't realize I'd be getting studded tires. That really surprised me as I've never had studded tires, thinking they would be so much more expensive. When my "car man" told me they were studded I got daring, (or stupid) and decided to try going up a local bypass that often is shut down following snow fall. It had been a day since the latest storm and was open but I knew it would still not be for anything "normal" on passenger cars. As I started up I realized how steep it was and thought, " oh no, this wasn't a good idea". It was snow packed and icy and the wind had blown snow from the slopes back into the road causing drifts I would have to plow through. I got where I was going with zero problems. I was thrilled. Now I can breath a bit easier when my girls have the car!
