Instructions
Allow the strip and urine specimen to reach room temperature (15-30°Cor 59-86°F) prior to testing. Gently wash the genital area thoroughly withsoap and water then rinse well prior to testing. 1. Remove the strip from the closed bottle or the sealed pouch, and use it assoon as possible. Close the bottle tightly after removing the required numberof strip(s). 2. Hold the end of the strip farthest away from the test pad(s) and beginurinating. After 1 or 2 seconds of passing urine, hold the strip downward withthe test pads pointing into the urine stream for 1-2 seconds. Make sure thetest pads are completely wet.Note: If you prefer, you can urinate into a clean and dry container. Dip the testpad(s) of the strip completely into the urine for 1-2 seconds and removeimmediately. Run the edge of the strip against the rim of the urine container toremove excess urine. See illustration 1. 3. After removing the strip from your urine, immediately bring the edge of thestrip into contact with an absorbent material (e.g. paper towel) to removeexcess urine. Lay the strip with the test pad(s) facing upwards and begintiming. See illustration 2. 4. Read result at 1 minute for Nitrite and at 2 minutes for Leukocytes.Compare the test pad(s) to the color blocks on the color chart. Hold the stripclose to the color blocks, and carefully match each pad to the color chart forthat test. See illustration 3. Note: Do not read results after 3 minutes.

I get a lot of infections so it is so wonderful to have home test strips to rule out a problem. I can also tell my urologist that I have already done a home test that was positive. Saves me a trip to Urgent Care when it just feels like a problem but really is not. Just follow the instructions. Also I don't mind testing when ever I dont feel so good as the price allows me to use as many as I want compared to Azo.

Saved money on this test strip.
The dip test strip looks identical to the more expensive 3 test strip versions on the market. I got some 2 oz sauce plastic cups to collect sample and followed the instructions which were better and more clear than the expensive kit I previously ordered. If you want to know what is going on with your urine this could give you the heads up. If in doubt a doctors visit may be the best choice.
