Meh! Not that great.

I bought this fridge as a backup primarily because it is garage ready. It stands outside on my balcony. And believe it or not when set to 4 or 3, it freezes whatever is in the fridge. The freezer works great. Half of what I out into the fridge ends up having to be tossed. Otherwise, it’s a good looking unit.

Accept these will be "scratch and dent" quality

I'm not sure of what is going on here. Seems that Curtis Industries has a lot of FACTORY DAMAGED refrigerators that they are offering to Walmart to sell at a discount, but it never says that in the product description. I was rightfully nervous on receiving this as a FedEx delivery given the other reviewers complaints, and fully expected to either refuse delivery or return it to my local Walmart, but the box arrived unscathed! Wow. So we carefully unboxed the unit, and, like all the others, there are dents and dings where there were none on the packaging itself. Now, once plugged in, the refrigerator is running just fine, but I didn't pay in damaged money, why should I accept what is basically a "scratch and dent" model ANYWHERE else? It appears that Curtis damaged a lot of these parts in manufacturing, and just kept applying them to units as they went. My dings and dents aren't as bad as others have reviewed, but they certainly do exist. What I find particularly annoying about this product: 1) The damage to the unit, 2) The way the stainless steel body parts were covered in protective film, and then had the frame and seal pieces built around them, so when you try to remove the plastic film, you end up with jagged tears and bunched up pieces of plastic on your unit. Other than being VERY disappointed in the condition of the unit upon opening, I am happy with the space and the cooling ability of this fridge. My advice: Expect the worse, and if the box looks even slightly damaged, refuse delivery or return immediately, because if an undamaged box still contained a cosmetically damaged unit, a damaged box will probably be much. much worse.

Not a Garage Ready Refrigerator

This is NOT a garage ready refrigerator. Walmart.com web page states the following - “GARAGE READY MODEL MAINTAINS STABLE AND CONSISTENT TEMPERATURE UNDER EXTREME TEMPERATURES FROM 38°F TO 110°F.” This is FALSE ADVERTISING. My garage is between 75-82 degrees F this time of year. I have to keep the refrigerator on the highest (coldest) setting to keep the refrigerator between 35 and 40 degrees F and keep a small fan blowing towards the back of the refrigerator. The manual for this refrigerator says it’s not designed to keep in a garage, on a porch. I even called the phone number in the manual and they confirmed this is not a garage ready refrigerator. I reported this to Walmart.com, including a supervisor and the same misinformation is on the web page for this refrigerator.
