SPECILITE Metal Garden Hose 50ft × 1/2in, 304 Stainless Steel Water Hose with Nozzle for Outdoor

I chose this model because the advertised diameter was more than some other brands. For the past several years, I has used CLOTH expanding hoses, and while those have pro's of (1) collapsing so small that they fit into a shoebox when drained and (2) are ultra lightweight, they have con's of (1) being quite fragile, especially where the hose meets the connectors and when rubbed against sharp objects and (2) they kink badly. Lesson learned: NEVER turn the water on a cloth hose while it is wound around a hose reel, or you'll spend the next hour untangling it! As to the SPECIALITE metal hose, I am completely sold on it! Although metal, it is surprisingly lightweight, it NEVER kinks, is the easiest to wind on a hose reel of any type I've ever used, and so far, it has not been affected by weather, i.e., deterioration from sun or cold temps. Regarding cold temps, last fall, I TURNED OFF the hose bib and DRAINED THE HOSE to the best of my ability, then left it outdoors wound on the hose reel all winter. Some nights, temps were in the single digits! I tested it during a warm spell in late Feb 2025. No leaks! It performed flawlessly. I also appreciate the larger flow of water compared to another brand that I bought on sale the previous year (less time watering). This long time gardener highly recommends the SPECIALITE, without reservations. NOTE: hand sprayer attachment in photos was purchased separately.
