Minn Kota 1358857 Terrova Trolling Motor

I've been using my Minnkota Terrova for two seasons now and continue to learn to use more features. I can't believe how much I use Autopilot and Spot Lock! I started figuring out iTracks and have recorded trolling passes on my home lake which have improved my open water crappie fishing for sure. Cruise control is awesome!

I bought my tarova and the ladder part of April of 2021 and had it installed by Bass pro this past week, May of 2022. Although the goofed on the installation with a rookie mistake by blocking entirely the bow receptacle for the nav light, and they are going to reposition the trulva, I used the motor for the first time yesterday, sunday. The use controls are pretty much intuitive, I didn't use the foot control rather, use only the remote. Easy to use. Tried the spot lock and it worked phenomenally. Use the control to maintain directions and it worked phenomenally. I found that the motor was really a game changer for my fishing and boat control and that I was much more relaxed not having a fight the breeze blowing the boat around which is a 16-ft Lund rebel SS so pretty darn light. I initially was so comfortable using the directional maintenance feature that by being more focused on what was going in the boat I didn't notice we had traveled into shallower Waters and I was headed towards one of the shallow water buoys. Karma was great and I noticed my mistake and was able to make corrections quickly. But it goes to show you how much more comfortable it is being in the boat with the tarova rather than the trans amounted Minn kota that I did have before. I certainly recommend the torova. Also I'm not going back to make corrections on the typos that Google voice recognition is creating. Google voice recognition sucks.
