After trying the manual required initial charging plug in for 3 days, there was not power to even turn on a lamp. I called the company and Joseph said this model was discontinued for “years”. He suggested initial charging for 3 weeks, next trying to get it commercially charged, lastly buying a new battery for about $200. When it is plugged in, it will power a lamp, so the good news is that the malady is probably limited to the likely totally irretrievable battery. I want the generator, and at 75, would rather get a new battery than trying to ship it back to Walmart or Nature Power. If either of them read this and want to help me make this right, I am certainly able to welcome their support. 😆

Hi Scott, Thank you for taking the time to comment on your Nature Power products purchase. I tried to research who sold this to you since it does not look to be even Walmart but rather a small liquidation company that maybe uses walmart.com as their selling platform. As Joseph mentioned, this product was discontinued in 2017 and as a result, the battery is most likely no longer holding or taking a charge. You can reach out to cs@rdkproducts.com and check if we have any spare batteries we can offer you. I am not sure we would due to the time lapse since this was an active product. The deep discounts that they liquidators offer can really hurt a brand like Nature Power or a reputable company like Walmart. Please reach out to our email and hopefully there is something we can do to try and help you as we never like to hear of these companies taking advantage of consumers and also tarnishing the reputation of a company like Nature Power. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you. Nature Power Technical Support
