Disappointed

Tree itself is pretty, but does not fit into stand. The base of the tree has a large black plastic piece on it that makes it impossible to insert the pole into the stand. Will have to return.

The black plastic piece is a protective cap that prevents the metal end from puncturing the shipping carton. This cap should be removed when assembling the tree.
