It is a very large, low level bed that I purchased for an older dog. It arrived in a rather small compressed package that expanded immediately into its regular shape and thickness when opened. I bought two for a pair of older White German Shepherds. There's plenty of room for their long bodies. They liked them immediately and sleep on them. We also have a little bulldog and she loves to stretch out on one as well. Very cushiony and soft. We like them and so do the dogs.
