I'm an invalid and cannot take my dogs outside to potty. I have two little shorkies and I've trained them to go on the pads. Once they have soiled them a couple times. I clean the #2 spots with a cleaner. But once I have several pads that need cleaning. They go into the washer with heavy duty soap, bleach and fragrant crystals. They come out completely clean and smell wonderful. I purchased my first one in2013 and I still have it. They are reusable for up to 300 washes and they are wonderful.
