I got this to lift my 42" flat screen TV a few inches as it sits in an entertainment center meant for tube TV's. I had a 35" tube in there before. When I put my Vizio in there, it seemed a bit low. This item was cheap, looks nice, and goes together quickly with only a screwdriver. It has room beneath for a slim device. The height it reduced by a horizontal support that is needed to keep the flat top from flexing under the weight. Be sure to use the provided glue on the wood pegs when you put it together.

A previous reviewer had a negative comment about the size but the dimensions are clearly stated and are accurate. This item is lovely and was easy to put together even for a "girl" with limited tool box. (all you need is a screwdriver)-Everything else was provided including the glue for a few wooden dowels. I wanted something small, sleek and neutral just to raise my flat screen above the box so it would have ventilation standing on my dresser. I love that there are no "bells and whistles" - no contrasting trim or metal accents. Considering tax and shipping thought it could have been priced just a little less that's why value just got 3 stars on rating.
