Product details
A Simond Store Propane Forge is an inevitable product for a blacksmith, hobbyist, jeweler, or knife maker. It is ideal for heating and bending metals, tempering and heat treating of small knives and other small tools. This Single Burner Oval Shape Propane Forge is made from rolled formed steel and its heating zone is fully insulated with refractory ceramic fibre, which can resist temperatures up to 2600°F. A rigid block of refractory firebrick is placed at the bottom of the forge to resist high velocity firing. Our ceramic fiber blanket is pre-surface treated which extend the life of insulation. Welded brackets for sliding fire brick to closed off one end of the forge. The powerful burner gives out a neutral flame leaving a small amount of oxygen for scaling. High quality nozzle (pressure – 0- 21 PSI) increases the efficiency of burner with the help of Air Chock Valve attached on top which regulates the amount of air that is mixed with the propane during combustion.

Propane forge for teaching
The small forge will be useful in teaching students beginning blacksmithing. This one is made of strong steel and has fire bricks to help maintain temperatures. It is still sturdy, slightly heavy but still portable for my teaching needs.
