The Shinwa Japanese Miter Rule is a combination square with a 90 degree try square and a 45 degree miter square. Because the size of the tool matches the width and thickness of a 2x4, it’s a snap to scribe 90 and 45 degree angles on your lumber. Clever markings make it easy to divide the lumber’s thickness into equal halves (for lap joints), thirds (for bridle joints), or quarters (for finger joints). In addition, guides are included for even marking of screw holes, and handy measurements in 1/16" go down the length of three sides.
