Love it

I read it in one day. I could not put it down. I fell in love with the Anna Blake series a whill ago. Every time I get a new book I have to re-read the hole series again(just because I want to). I don't knwo if there is a nother book going to be comming out but i realy hope so.

great book!

This is a wonderful addition to the Anita Blake series and goes into more depth of the characters, while giving enough background for those readers who haven't read the rest of the series. It also addresses the fears that even the master vampire characters have with a few surprising twists (old enemies helping Anita, etc.). Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Back To Basics

Many fans of the early Anita Blake books have been less than enthused by the recent developments in Anita's life feeling that the paranormal romance has overshadowed the gritty feel of the early Anita. This book continues to improve the balance between the two and is the best Anita book since Obsidian Butterfly in my opinion. Not only is Anita back in her element with a series of vampire murders, but the appearance of Edward and his back-up allows for some very interesting insights into lesser seen characters.
