Used twice. Second time, the blender blades ground out the jar bottom rendering it unusable. Very disappointing.

Hello Dawn! Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the issue you experienced, we do want to clarify that the part you purchased from us is only the outer jar bottom nut. It does not interact with the internal blade assembly or the inside of the jar in a way that could cause the blades to grind out the bottom. Its sole function is to secure the blade and gasket to the jar from the outside. If the nut were not tightened properly, you would only see leaking—not internal damage to the jar or blade assembly.
