Restoring detangler

I've used Philipb products since they first came out. Can't say enough about their stuff. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Love the way it works HATE the smell :(

Oh, this does wonders for my baby fine, poker straight hair, but THE SMELL it's HORRENDOUS.... it's DEFINITELY apple cider vinegar in this product, but why can't it smell better?.... I sooooo wish either they changed the formula since I got this (2 years ago) or perhaps I can get used to the smell because this truly does something special for me. I thought I'd treat myself to an easy & simple cleaning as I had neglected washing my hair for a few days & the last time I did I think I used too much of some product because my hair was slimy. So, I thought this would do the trick. I used a Philip B. shampoo that I think you no longer carry—the African Shea Butter Gentle & Conditioning shampoo & then sprayed my hair w/the mist & my hair is silky, soft, shiny, (which it usually is w/my hair type), BUT it has VOLUME too, & just feels healthier than it did prior to use. I don't anticipate using throughout the day, though, because I fear it might make my hair feel greasy, & I don't know if it'd be worth the smell lingering so I'll stick w/a lovely light P&J body & hair mist although I did notice that my hair now doesn't have the horrible scent left, but that might be because I used it when my hair was damp... not sure. I wonder what might happen if I used some other product like gel or volume spray along w/hair drying (I just let my hair dry naturally today).... the effect might just produce even more volume, but for a natural, day look this is lovely (if I can stand the smell). Obviously, that's a complaint, but the only one, & I think I can overlook this because I do like how this works (the idea of counter-acting hard water is fab, especially now that I think my shower head needs a new filter ;)
