I must admit that I didn't have high hopes for this, but my husband wanted to try them anyway. Much to my surprise, they actually work really well. They remind me of a smaller version of those big bug zappers that we used as kids. These aren't as loud or bright as those were. It has all of the positives and none of the negatives.

Effective tool against flies

It is not so effective against midges and very small insects but flies are the perfect size to get trapped between the metal wires and create the electrical circuit that instantly kills them. I was quite impressed with how efficient it is and I would recommend it.
