Well. I finally did it. I've hit that time in life that every American seems to reach at a certain point. I've bought my first item of clothing from Walmart with Tweety Bird on it. Not just Tweety, but the rest of the Looney Tunes cast as well. While I won't be pairing this with pajama pants and slippers while I shop in public, I will wear it with semi ironic pride. Despite all the problems this country faces I can never forget my ancestors deciding where they were was so bad they'd rather get on a ship and follow a dream than continue living in fear. I love my country and so I can poke gentle fun at it. The shirt itself is of very soft and lightweight cotton, not the most rugged but it already feels like your favorite old vintage tee and I haven't even washed it yet. This is one of those items of clothing that gets better with age, I can tell. And c'mon, it's Olympics merchandise, it's cool.
