not really impressed with it's range.

This works well as long as you're within 8ft of it or less. I put it in the basement, just inside the hatchway. I need to step off the bottom step before the light comes on. I wish it had a little more range. The light socket is 6ft from the hatchway. When I'm working at the bench 5ft from the light socket, the light keeps coming back on if I move a little closer to it. I bought this to test it for the garage that being built. I won't buy another one.
