Design flaw
Do not recommend due to pole does not insert into the base. Th pole actually sits on top of the base only being secured by a bolt that screws in underneath. The bolt is not long enough to provide support to the top heavy umbrella.

im sorry to say the stand is garbage. the umbrella falls over with the slightest wind because the stand tube when screwed in it leans as you can see. we have tried everything except throwing it across the yard.
